eTEN Information Day
Concert Noble , Brussels
The Commission's eTEN programme will publish in March 2004 a new call for
proposals. eTEN is designed to help the deployment of public electronic
services (e-services) with a trans-European dimension. The main focus of
eTEN in 2004 will be the practical realisation of on-line services in the
areas of eGovernment, eHealth, eInclusion (services for elderly or disabled
citizens), eLearning, Trust and Security services and services for SME's.

10th Global Grid Forum
Berlin
The primary objectives of the Global Grid Forum (GGF) are to promote and
support the development, deployment, and implementation of Grid technologies
and applications via the creation and documentation of 'best practices'.
This international event - which will be attended by over 600 members of the
Grid community - will have a strong European participation. On this occasion
EU-funded research activities in the Grid domain will be presented by
Wolfgang Boch, Head of Unit 'Grid Technologies', of the European

Ambient Intelligence @Work communities launch preparatory workshop
Brussels, Belgium
Workshop organised for the AMI@Work family of self-organising ERA
communities relating to New Working Environments. This family of communities
links people in new and existing EU Member States (and beyond) for a
European Research and Innovation Area at work. This family facilitates new
working environments innovation. Seven parallel sessions are foreseen :
Collaboration@Work,Knowledge@Work,Mobility@Work,SEEM@Work ( Single European
Electronic Market), Rural@Work (Rural Information Society, Extended AgriFood
Products and Services), Life-Cycle Management @Work (Sustainability,
Individualisation and Interoperability for Products, Services and
Environments, Well-being Services @Work (Well-being, Health Sector and
Social Services) The AMI@Work family of communities main launch event is
foreseen to be held in June or July 2004

European Business Summit
Brussels, Belgium
The third European Businees Summit will bring together all different actors
in Europe interested in discussing the development of Europe. This years
Summit is entitled 'Research and innovation: A European strategy for more
growth and jobs' and will focus on discussing the Lisbon goals of making
Europe the most competitive knowledgebased economy by 2010. Erkki Liikanen,
European Commissioner for Enterprise and the Information Society, will be a
speaker in the session 'The ICT challenge: Getting connected to an e-Europe'
on March 12.

Open Workshop on IP voice and associated convergent services
Brussels, Belgium
The European Commission will hold a workshop in Brussels on an independent
study carried out for the Commission by Analysys. Analysys will present the
findings of their study on Internet protocol (IP) voice and associated
convergent services. The workshop is open for everybody but requires prior
registration.
