Can any member help with the following query originally posted to the
mining-history list.
I've already suggested he contact the Norwegian Mining Museum at Kongsberg
regarding the Tinette Norvegienne process.
Peter
I am looking for information on the biography of an English metallurgist
: John Cooper or M. Cooper ( active in 1840 ) who introduced
in Canada and perhaps in Chile too a silver amalgamation process in XIX
century, for native silver. The process was at first born and applied
in Norway (Kongsberg).
The process was at first named “Tinette Norvegienne" and later Tina
system or Cooper process (or system). Can someone of you help me ?
