1. Mike, the immunoreactive trypsin case was a little more complicated. We
did not refuse the request, it happened like this. Paediatrician requested
a serum IRT. Can't remember why a sweat test was not on, prem & scrawny
perhaps. Ref lab could only do them on blood spots, screening lab (not us)
would not release the spot.
2. I've never had any problem with adding on tests, always thought it was
what we are trained and paid for. My query arises from the HTB.
