Hi,
There is a plan here (York, Computer Science) to look at replacing software
teaching classroom with laptops bought for students, who will all access
the network using the wireless network. Has anyone else gone ahead and done
this? I have seen a few mails (one from Strathclyde), talking about
supplementing classrooms with wireless laptops; I've not seen any talking
about a complete replacement.
I do have a number of reservations, so I'd appreciate thoughts from anyone
who has done this or decided not to. It would be useful if you could give
some indication of how vital to the course computer/network access is.
Being a Computer Science department our network demands are high.
Thanks
Dave Hartburn
