Yes, there's directories like
MERLOT (http://www.merlot.org/) and, of course, there's the MIT
OpenCourseWare project (http://ocw.mit.edu/index.html)
The LTSN Subject Centres (http://www.ltsn.ac.uk/index.asp?id=9) have
material - usually listed under Resources
Web subject gateways like EEVL (engineering, maths and computing)
(http://www.eevl.ac.uk/catalogue.htm), SOSIG (social science, business and
law) (http://www.sosig.ac.uk/advanced.html) and PSIgate (physical
sciences)(http://www.psigate.ac.uk/newsite/search_advanced.html) allow
searching or browsing for learning materials.
.. and so on.
However, Andre, since you work for a company producing learning materials
you might like to declare your interest in this topic!
