Subject: Medical Technology - SHOT Panel

From: "Gerard J. Fitzgerald" <[log in to unmask]>
I need a final panelist for a session I am setting up for the forthcoming
Society of the History of Technology (SHOT) meeting in Amsterdam that meets
from October 7-10, 2004. The panel theme is going to be the technology of
the hospital with a more specific emphasis on what we are calling surgical
spaces. Here I am speaking about both the built environment of the "modern"
hospital and the intellectual and epistemological space where biomedical
research is carried out. A paper dealing with surgical or experimental
space would be great although any paper on the general theme of the
hospital built environment or hospital architecture would be considered.
Please contact me off line. Thanks.
