The following is posted on behalf of Susannah Waters.

Dear All,

Pease find below information on the Scottish Brewing Archive's
annual open
day on 19 November 2004. I would be grateful if you could pass this
information on to anyone who may be interested in this event - all
are
welcome! A flyer for the open day is attached to print it off and
distribute if you so wish.

Many thanks,

Susannah Waters
(Scottish Brewing Archivist).

The Way to a Perfect Pint

We all have an opinion on what goes to make a perfect pint! This
November
the Scottish Brewing Archive invites you to come and find out how
the
quality and taste of your pint is guaranteed at its annual open day
on
Friday 19 November. Focussing on “The Changing Faces of
Brewing over the
Past Few Decades”, the open day will be held at Glasgow University
Archive
Services between 4.00pm-6.30pm. There will be a talk by Harvey
Milne, cask
marque assessor and quality management & training consultant,
and an
exhibition of archives and artefacts from the Archive, illustrating the
brewing industry’s search for the perfect pint. Behind the scenes
tours of
the Archive and refreshments will also be available!

This year’s open day is the 10th such event held by the Scottish
Brewing
Archive. It is hoped that more people than ever will attend and
discover
the rich history of the Scottish Brewing Industry and the wide variety
of
material held at the Archive. The event is part of the national
Archive
Awareness Campaign which aims to unlock the potential of archives
for new
and experienced users.
