There are five places still available at a joint meeting organised by the
Wolfson Research Institute, the University of Durham and the ESRC
Research Methods Programme on 1-2 April 2004 to discuss
interdisciplinary approaches to understanding health outcomes and
inequalities.
Professor Margaret Whitehead will be the plenary speaker at the meeting,
which is designed to allow discussion and debate. There are three themes:
(1) the role of genes in health outcomes,
(2) understanding spatial effects and
(3) the role of RCTs.
Attendance at the meeting is free and includes meals, refreshments and
overnight accommodation.
