Sorry, but I don't buy this at all. I don't buy that talent is all
intuition, and I don't buy that intuition cannot be taught.
Any amount of innate talent can be tremendously augmented through education
and experience. Having alot of innate talent can substantially shorten the
'training time', but it never negates the need for education.
And virtually everything we find intuitive is a direct result of having
learned through experience.
On the latter point, here's a simple example. We have an intuition that
water flows 'downhill'. So when we're presented with a non-newtonian fluid
which can flow 'uphill', it jars our intuitive sense. But we didn't know
about water flowing downhill when we were still in the womb. We had to
learn it.
