Your point re american border is very interesting. It applies to remote
areas in pakistan. I have thought about many dangerous situations one
can inadvertantly create in the rural pakistani setup with strange
devices. Like, once when filming from the second floor balcony
overlooking the street in chaman, the remote pak-afghan border town, we
were pelted with everything from the street, because of the meaning a
camera has esp one on the 2nd floor in the hands of strange looking
people. I wonder if with time the internet would become inconspicuous,
or would it give rise to odd political reactions. yasir
