Hi
This ongoing discussion about location is very pertinent to my new book "Hello World: travels in virtuality", published last month by Raw Nerve - http://www.travelsinvirtuality.com
In the book I have tried to get to grips with moments where our sense of place merges across online/offline, and moments we consider to be 'real' can be identified as just another degree of virtuality.
There is a web complement to Hello World, in the form of a blog which I am gradually feeding with materials additional to the print book, and I invite comments to relevant sections. (I also, of course, invite you to buy the book!)
I think this discussion is probably the most important one to have, because it mixes identity, technology, and phenomenology - everything comes together in this question of where and when we are. We are unlikely to find a single answer of course but the conversation is very pleasurable.
best wishes
Sue
