I may have misread your posting but was not your main point (amongst many)
that
the book was taking a narrow approach, to only "recognised" british
artists...
...and then a concern that the keynote address was not by a british
curatour.
And my reply is that surely being concerned about such an approach
is unnesessary as a book/event of such narrow focus has hopefully been made
obsolescent
by the trans-national possibilites offered by the infrastructure that
supports this thread....
Why do we need the blessing of the ancient institutions like the tate for
what we do (I guess my
mum would like it)....
