Tenure-track Position in History and Sociology of Science (University of
Pennsylvania)
The Department of the History and Sociology of Science at the University of
Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship
in the history of science, to begin 1 July 2005.
The Ph.D. or its equivalent is required. Area of specialization is open, but
we are particularly interested in scholars whose work is in the history of
the physical sciences, or the environmental sciences, or non-Western
science. Methodological breadth and a demonstrated commitment to teaching
are expected. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the
continuing development of our graduate and undergraduate programs.
