POSTGRADUATE TRAINING EVENTS ON FILM AND TELEVISION
Dear Colleague,
The AHRB Centre for British Film and Television Studies is
organising a series of specialist doctoral training events
during 2003-4. These events are sponsored by the Centre and
are open and free to all appropriate research students in
the UK. Places are limited and so early application is
advised.
There will be two events during April 2004:
EARLY BRITISH CINEMA - in collaboration with Broadway Media
Centre, Nottingham.
This event will take place in Nottingham at the 7th British
Silent Cinema Festival from 15-18 April 2004. Four
bursaries are available to enable appropriate doctoral
students to attend the Festival.
Deadline for applications: 15 March 2004

Coleraine on 29 April and will be followed by the Irish
Postgraduate Film Research Seminar on 30 April.
Where institutions are not able to support their students
in attending, we may be able to provide some limited
financial assistance for travel and accommodation expenses.
Deadline for applications: 26 March 2004
