Britain was taken to war on false premises, and many readers and
audiences were none the wiser till after the event. Why? Where did it
go wrong, and can such failings be avoided in covering future conflicts
and crises? To mark the launch of the Mediactive 'Mediawar' issue,
academics, media workers and journalism think-tank Reporting the World
will be discussing the lessons of the Iraq war for the reporting of
international news.
The event is supported by The University of Ulster, Middlesex
University, The Lipman Milliband Trust and Roehampton University.
