The National Gallery of Ireland invites applications for the position of IT
Manager
Applicants will have a sound IT/IS background, supported by an appropriate
3rd level qualification. They will possess strong interpersonal, analytical
and decision making sills and should be willing and able to adapt to the
changing / dynamic nature of the job and be capable of demonstrating
initiative.
Applicants must have good working knowledge of the following:
* Windows 2000/NT
* Exchange 2000/5.5
* SQL Server 2000
* Office XP/2000
* Antivirus software
* IS Security concepts and software
* Implementation & development of MIS
Reporting to the Head of Finance & HR, key responsibilities will include:
* The management of IT and system developments, and other related
project work;
* Managing and monitoring the network & technical environment,
including systems security;
* Ensuring appropriate service levels are maintained by 3rd party
vendors;
* Promoting the development and use of IT applications and services;
* Liasing with suppliers to ensure quality of service;
* Staff management
This position is offered on a Fixed Term basis for nine months.
