Having not actually looked at the site in question yet, maybe I
shouldn't comment - but it may depend on the 'reading age' of the
text. I spent 5 years learning BSL to Stage 2 from excellent Deaf
teachers; even then I probably only had the fluency and vocabulary of
a Deaf 11 year old. All my teachers were pre-lingually deaf so BSL
was their first language. Deaf people consider themselves a
linguistic minority not a disabled minority; as a second language my
teachers did not excel at written English, particulaly spelling and
homonyms. Mind you, I made some spectacular blunders in BSL, the
wrong finger in the wrong place can change the intended meaning
dramatically!
