The Career Development Group is pleased to announce its National Student Conference for 2004: 'The next step'
This conference aims to bring together LIS students from courses around the country to help them plan the next step in their career.
The conference will take place on
Saturday 6th March 2004 10.00am - 4.00pm at the Information Skills Suite, Aston University Library, Aston Triangle,
Birmingham, B4 7ET

The audience for the day will be students on all LIS courses, and graduates gaining a year's experience before starting professional training.
This event would also be ideal for Chartership candidates.
Places at this conference have been subsidised to keep costs low to delegates and the fee includes lunch and refreshments.

Bob will highlight the importance of the Information Society
Margaret Watson, President, CILIP & Marion Huckle Head of CILIP Membership, Careers & Qualifications
Margaret & Marion will speak about career progression and professional development
CILIP is currently updating the Chartership process and CPD scheme. This session will give a guide to these.
