chartership candidates and their supervisors.
Chartership and Portfolio workshop
10.00-4.30pm, 4th November 2004
Halifax Central Library
cost: FREE (lunch not provided - but available locally)

This workshop will guide you through the chartership process. The
morning focusses on the CILIP regulations (ie: what you have to do) and
the afternoon centres on how to do it, including information on
creating, developing and organising a portfolio and hints and tips for
making the most of professional development opportunities.
This course is designed for anyone thinking about undertaking or
currently working towards their Associate membership of CILIP (either
Route A or B), and those currently supervising (or thinking about
supervising) candidates. The timetable allows time for networking and
looking at examples of successful submissions.
Aims:
§ To learn how to complete a successful submission.
§ To learn what the Chartership Board are looking for.
§ To know where to go for help and advice.
§ To help identify professional development opportunities
§ To offer practical tips on the creation process.
§ To promote portfolios as a way of maintaining your continuing
professional development.
