In response to expanding publishing programmes in medicine and law,
Cambridge University Press are looking for two able and dedicated
individuals to join our Journals Marketing department in Cambridge, UK. The
full-time post will work mainly on our list of medical journals (and some
books). The maternity cover will be responsible for marketing journals from
a range of disciplines.
The successful candidates will be capable of formulating, developing and
executing international marketing plans across the whole range of
activities (email, web, direct mail, advertising etc), managing a budget,
and be comfortable making presentations to Editorial boards and journal
proprietors. You will also have excellent copy-writing skills and a good
eye for design; will be very familiar with the web and be able to think
creatively and strategically about the promotion of electronic material.
Some foreign travel may be involved.
The ideal candidates will have a degree or equivalent and proven
organisational skills. Experience of the library/publishing/bookselling
environments would be preferable.
