Hi
I've put those lines into my config file and it didn't help. The server still
fails to initialize producing the same message.
However I've managed to launch the server from the standard RH package with
slapd.conf from LCG2 by applying the command:
slapd -f ...my_config_dir/slapd.conf -d5
@(#) $OpenLDAP: slapd 2.0.27-Release (Mon Jun 7 19:56:34 CEST 2004) $
[log in to unmask]:/usr/src/redhat/BUILD/openldap-2.0.27/build-krb5/servers/slapd
daemon_init: <null>
daemon_init: listen on ldap:///
daemon_init: 1 listeners to open...
ldap_url_parse_ext(ldap:///)
daemon: socket() failed errno=97 (Address family not supported by protocol)
daemon: initialized ldap:///
daemon_init: 1 listeners opened
slapd init: initiated server.
slap_sasl_init: initialized!
slapd startup: initiated.
slapd starting
It works and I can see the process when looking into ps aux output. I've
modified the "globus-mds" startup script to launch the "standard" slapd
instead of the "LCG2 enabled" one.
There's another problem though:
When I type "service globus-mds start", the slapd server doesn't start
although there's information in syslog, that globus-mds has started
successfully.
It looks to me like a problem with some other scripts invoked by globus-mds
startup script.
Regards
PS
