We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate to work on an ESRC funded
project titled “Who really gains from inward investment?”. This project
involves Nigel Driffield of Aston Business School in collaboration with Karl
Taylor and Sourafel Girma of Leicester University. It is expected that the
post holder will focus largely though not solely on the econometric elements
of the project.
Candidates should have a degree in economics or equivalent qualification
(2:1 or better) and relevant post-graduate qualification, the nature of the
work would be most suited to someone with an applied background, with an
interest in one or more of labour economics, industrial economics, regional
economics or international business. Econometric training to at least
masters level is therefore required.
