Thanks, Malcolm, Geoff & Karen - these brightened my Wednesday morning.
Reminds me of an enquiry I once had for that elusive song 'Thanks be to
God' by Sig Freedocks...

Subject: Re: Opus for England - a whimsy for Wednesday
In the spirit of Malcolm's whimsy...
The may be apocryphal, but I did hear the story of the person who
queried with music shop assistant why his order for "Could I but express
in song" was taking so long to arrive, only to find out that it had been
ordered as the "Kodaly buttocks pressing song".
BTW - in my (very) recent experience, Norwegian library assistants can
be extremely helpful :-)

In the spirit of Monty Verdi's The Art of Fear ....these things are
always
obvious once one knows the answer but I just thought I'd share this.
A reader in deepest rural Nottinghamshire (far away from the armed
manhunts!) found a reference to a piece of music in a play he was
reading.
He rang his local library asking for the score and the Norwegian
library
assistant passed the query on to us yesterday afternoon. The music for
*Opus
for England* foxed us for a while until "Merrie" Edward German came to
mind
and his "O peaceful E...".
We felt quite pleased with ourselves!
Toodlepip!
Malcolm
