Two or more permanent positions open beginning September 2005 for assistant
or associate professors of economics in all fields. We especially encourage
applicants working in the fields of econometric theory, macro/micro theory,
applied microeconomics, international trade, and public economics. The
Economics Department at Bilkent hosts around 700 undergraduates and has a
research-oriented graduate program with over 70 students. Our entire faculty
holds their degrees from the North American and European Universities, and
the medium of instruction is in English. The University provides fully
furnished, on-campus housing, and the salary levels are competitive. The
Department gives heavy emphasis on both sound research and teaching

Applicants should hold or firmly expect a Ph.D. degree by September 2005.
