Dear Ann,
As others had answered your first question adequately I will attempt to
answer the second. Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional version 7.3 can be
used on a Microsoft XP network. As far as I know, DNS Preferred 7.3 cannot
be used on a network.
Someone from iANSYST on MicroLink should be able to tell you with more
accuracy if IBM ViaVoice can be used on such a network. As ScanSoft now own
ViaVoice as well as DNS, however, I would still go with Dragon
NaturallySpeaking. There are grave doubts about any further
developments/improvements being made on the ViaVoice software as a result
of ScanSoft`s ownership.
Regards,
Celia
