Does this student receive Disability Living Allowance, mobility component?
This is a benefit intended to cover the extra costs incurred by people
with disabilities relating to their mobility. It can be used for additional
travel costs such as that incurred by having to use taxis. If he is receiving
this, he should be using it for these costs. If not, perhaps he could look
into an application.
