It's a consequence of the definition of personal data and the need to
have a focus
There is no focus on simple CCTV systems run by many shopkeepers

Is it just me? Did anyone else foresee the issue of new guidance on
CCTV systems as a direct result of the Durant case? We all used to know
where we stood with the old guidelines. New guidance of handling DSARs
is what I need!

Someone will no doubt tell me to stop sending these messages if it
starts to get irritating, but I am writing lots of guidance at the
moment and so I keep going back to the IC site. And every time, there's
something new:
http://www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk/eventual.aspx?id=5739
This is the post-Durant CCTV guidance, which for small users wipes the
DPA away entirely.
