With apologies for cross posting ... Freedom of Information legislation
will give UK citizens new rights in January 2005. Public authorities
will need to respond in writing to specific requests made to them for
information, unless an exemption can be claimed.
A public authority must comply promptly with its duty to confirm or
deny if it holds the information and to supply the information, if it is
held, within 20 working days of receipt of a request.
I am trying to build some scenarios for testing and would like to know
what things you would find interesting - or do you think that the duties
of Local Government are just too boring to contemplate!!?:-)
