Under Fire explores the organization
and representation of contemporary armed conflict. This book, part of the
project's first phase, involves discussions between artists, political
scientists, critics, activists, and journalists on a wide array of issues
around warfare and representation. Topics covered in this volume include
battle simulation and news programming, democracy and violence, the
privatization of the military, and the militarization of the civilian
