STAMP (Slave Trade Arts Memorial Project)
Seeking a number of artists working in all artforms to lead school and
community based residencies and workshops in Lancaster.
ACE recommended fees plus expenses


STAMP
Is also offering a unique Public Art opportunity to create a
commemorative memorial to African peoples who suffered in Lancaster's
slave trade.


It is envisaged that all workshops will:

* Raise awareness of the Districts historical role in the Slave
Trade
* Act as a catalyst to promote race awareness in local schools
* Promote greater community input in to existing festival
programmes
* Promote community capacity building
* Promote individual capacity building
* Promote social inclusion


STAMP is coordinated by SuAndi, (lead Artist) working with Lancaster
City Council's Arts & Events Service

Friday May 14th to register your interest please email

STAMP workshops or STAMP Public Art

All interested artists will be invited to the May 19th Open Day prior
to June 7th selection, June 16th-18th interviews. A teachers INSET takes
place June 30th
