Terry,
Thanks for your feedback and the URL.
We do have a web site but it lacks detail and we are in the process of updating it to make sure we cover all the bases. Hence my searching for references on deep linking. Your site seems to have done that. Is it ok to share this with some colleagues?
thanks,
Arthur

Hi Arthur: the biggest headache with deep linking is that the resource
can sometimes move: then you have to hunt again to find it. Also: many
repositories require Athens login - so deep linking isn't always
helpful.
Have a look at
http://www.learningservices.gcal.ac.uk/policies/copyright.html . Does
Paisley have a similar site?
Best wishes
