CONSERVATION MANAGER
Full time position, 37 hours p.w.
£22,140 - £27,010
Based at Canterbury Cathedral Archives.
We are looking for an experienced conservator to lead our conservation team, providing the full range of conservation and preservation services for the Kent Archives Service and the Dean and Chapter of Canterbury.
You will have an ability to manage staff and resources. You will hold a recognised qualification in conservation or bookbinding and have at least five years' practical, post-qualification experience of paper, parchment and book conservation, with fine binding and gold finishing skills an advantage.
In accordance with the partnership agreement, you will work on the varied collections of the Cathedral Archives, the Cathedral Library, the Centre for Kentish Studies in Maidstone and the East Kent Archives Centre near Dover, and develop databases for accurate documentation of all historic information and treatments.
