newly created Postal Heritage Trust, formed from the archive and museum of
Royal Mail. Our registered museum and public record archive collections
range from sheets of penny blacks, and 1930s films, to business records,
mobile post offices, and telegrams from the sinking Titanic. Documentation
of our holdings is a core activity.

equivalent, recognised by the Society of Archivists.
· Two years post-qualification experience, and intend to achieve
admission to the Professional Register of the Society of Archivists, via
the Society’s Registration Scheme.
· Experience of working with CALM or similar cataloguing software,
for data manipulation and administration as well as for cataloguing.
· Experience in cataloguing, of catalogue enhancement tools such as
thesauri and authority records, and a good working knowledge of relevant
standards (such as ISAD(G) and ISAAR(CPF)) and their application.

COULD YOU:
· Work on the CALM collections management database to ensure that the
data it includes is of the highest standards; and work to mount this data
on the web.
· Catalogue archival material as part of the cataloguing team, and
participate in cataloguing project work.
· Produce and maintain a high quality set of hard copy catalogues in
multiple locations, including the searchroom and museum objects store.
· Develop and maintain cataloguing support services in the searchroom.

This post attracts a salary of £23,500 pa.

ISAD(G), ISAAR (CPF), NCA rules, and other relevant standards.

COULD YOU:
· Catalogue archival material as part of a team, to required and
