The National Archives, Kew
The National Archives is at the forefront of the drive to make the nation's
memory and culture available to the widest possible audience. Our e-access
department builds and manages on-line systems enabling access to TNA's most
popular materials. A range of exciting opportunities have arisen within the
department as follows:
Senior Archivist
£31,508 - £37,178 (Permanent Position)
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to the
development of TNA's on-line catalogue (PROCAT) and also the project
management of the Access to Archives project. The successful candidate will
be a qualified Archivist with experience of archival cataloguing and
editorial work in an automated environment. Project management experience is
needed together with experience of the application of archival standards.

Supervisory Editor, Access to Archives
£26,672 - £30,158 (Fixed Term Appointment)
The Access to Archives Programme maintains and develops the virtual archives
catalogue. The Supervisory Editor is responsible for the day-to-day
co-ordination of the editorial process and will also have responsibility for
complex A2A projects and sit on project boards as necessary. A professional
archival qualification is desirable. Ref:B7649
Editor, Access to Archives
£23,186 - £26,671 (Fixed Term Appointment)
This role involves hands on work with new catalogues and those for
retro-conversion. Other tasks include checking new and marked up catalogues
for conformity, checking converted material and liaison with offshore keying
houses. Experience of archival work and cataloguing in an automated
environment is essential. Ref:B7650
