There's also a big tobacco company currently being investigated for the same
thing - can't remember its name, but the article was in The Guardian - try
guardian.co.uk.

Subject: Whats its name
Hi
Does anyone remember the name of the company that got into trouble sometimes
in 2002 for destroying records too early, disregarding its retention and
disposal shedules? It was a big court case while I was there studying
Records and Archives Management at UCL. I am writing a propsal for a
telecommunication company so I want to use that as an example of what can
happen in the absence of a comprehensive records manageemnt programme.
Thanks
Reuben
