Hello,
Apologies for re-posting: we have had a number of queries
in the last week as to whether there are any places left.
I just wanted to confirm that it is still possible
to register for the conference itself, but the conference
dinner is now almost fully booked.
Please contact Niall Adams ([log in to unmask]),
Martin Crowder or myself for further information
thanks
Dave

Symposium
To honour the 80th birthday of John Nelder, FRS
The statistics group at Imperial College is organising the above event,
to take
place on the South Kensington campus of Imperial College London on
29-30th March 2004.
The meeting will take the form of presentations by a number of invited
speakers, with
additional contributed posters. Each talk will be of broad interest, so
that overall
they touch on the areas in which John has worked and had substantial
influence.
The eight papers will be published as a book.
The mood will be celebratory and informal, providing an opportunity to
meet other
statisticians working in a variety of fields, not least in those to
which John has
made important contributions. There will be a dinner in the evening of
the first day.
The following, listed in alphabetical order, have
accepted invitations to speak:
Rosemary Bailey, Sir David Cox, Brian Cullis, Youngjo Lee,
Yudi Pawitan, Roger Payne, Brian Ripley, Stephen Senn and Jon Wakefield.
In addition, Michael Healy has agreed to give an after-dinner
talk on the first evening.
Details of accommodation, poster requirements, etc., can be found on the
website:
