Some aspects of quantum statistical inference
Professor Peter E Jupp
University of St Andrews
Quantum theory is (by its very nature) probabilistic, and so gives rise
to statistical problems. This talk aims to give a brief introduction to
the relationship between quantum theory and statistical inference. Some
quantum analogues of (i) Fisher information, (ii) concepts (akin to
sufficiency), which aim to tackle the question `What parts of the data
are informative about the parameters of interest?' will be presented.
