Thanks Berry but you didn't answer my question.

Good on you Susannah.
It maybe that the HEFCE EO research programme which should be complete
by the end of this year will be helpful on this matter. Well done with
your awards and nice press mentions. Try not to feel too ground down. (
easy to say, I know). Berry

Subject: EO staff in HE.
Hi, all,Sometime ago somebody on the list did some research in to how he
institutions were staffing their EO work. Could that person, or other
people who know, let me know how many staff Heis are giving to this
really important work.
At MU, I am the only member of staff working on these issues, and,
frankly, I just feelso demoralised, eventhough we have won a couple of
awards this year, and been quoted in the press, in a nice way!
So I'm preparinbg a paper for EO committee, and any info you can give me
about how many staff there ar in your EO unit, or how many people are
workingon EO issues, would be really helpful. I don't think, really,
that my paper will result in more staff, not even one, but I'm going
to get the committee to recommend something.
Thanks in advance.
Susanna.

Subject: Positive Action Strategy
Hello all,
I hope you are well and enjoying the warm weather.
I am currently working on a Positive Action Strategy looking at all
areas of equality and what we the Institute should be doing now and in
the future. I visualise this being split into 3 sections, recruitment,
retention and progression and including best practice examples as well.
Has anyone else been working on any similar documents? Any thoughts or
feedback would be greatly appreciated.
With thanks
