Hi Marcus and John,
There are a few 'washing toilets' about with varying degrees of
effectiveness
It is not so much the washing element that is the problem, as the drying -
this is catered for by warm air blowers as in a hand drier - the difference
being that hand driers can blow really very hot air on the assumption that
people will keep moving their hands around and avoid scalding - not so easy
to keep your bum moving around on a toilet / bidet! so the temperature has
to be kept much lower and this obviously increases drying time to the point
where it is almost impossible to actually dry oneself
Closomat is what OTs have traditionally specified but I have never been
impressed with them
I would suggest a Geberit because the Closomat does not heat water while you
are using it, so you have to set it to heat some 10 minutes before using it
(unless they have improved) but there are other makes around and probably
improvements in design since I last looked a few years ago
There are also a number of systems contained in a toilet seat now that are
useful for retro-fitting on standard toilets - the individual would need to
look at everything available and see what most closely met their needs
