Subject: CFP: Children and Consumer Culture Panel at AHA

I am looking for presenters and a chair for a
panel on children and consumer culture in the
20th Century. This panel is for the 2005 AHA
meeting in Seattle, from Jan. 6-9. Lisa Jacobsen
of UC Santa Barbara will be the commentator.
My own work is on public reactions to children's
radio and television in the United States, but I
will focus on radio for the panel. The panel is
open to anyone working on children and consumer
culture, including toys, advertising, or media
for children. Hopefully the panel will examine
this topic from various angles: production of
children's products, the products and their
messages, and public reception.
