Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Among this week’s new postings, you will find the Geneva Declaration on
Accessible Information Society, adopted today by the Global Forum on
Disability in the Information Society, which asserts the claims of
people with disabilities to equal participation within the Information
Society. The Global Forum on disability in the Information Society is
being held during the first phase of World Summit on the Information
Society (WSIS), which concludes today in Geneva, Austria. The second
phase of WSIS (http://www.itu.int/wsis/) will be held in Tunis, Tunisia
in from 16 – 18 November 2005.
Thank you very much for sending in your photos and messages about your
local December 3rd celebrations. Watch for a report on our worldwide
IDDP activities in the upcoming December issue of DPI Happenings, which
should be available online next Friday, December 19th.
Preparations for DPI’s World Summit 2004: Diversity Within are moving
steadily ahead. For more information on the event, please visit the

Déclaraction de Genève sur l’Accessibilité de la Société de
l’Information, qui a été adopté aujourd’hui par le Forum Global sur le
Handicap dans la Société de l’Information, ce qui affirme la réclamation
des personnes handicapées à la participation égale dans la Société de
l’Information. Le Forum Global sur le Handicap dans la Société de
l’Information se produit durant la première phase du Sommet mondial sur
la société de l’information (SMSI), qui conclut aujourd’hui à Genève,
Autriche. La deuxième pase du SMSI aura lieu à Tunis, Tunisie du 16 au
18 novembre 2005.

de vos célébrations locales du 3 décembre. Veuillez voir la prochaine

Ginebra sobre la Sociedad de la Información Accesible, adoptada hoy por
el Foro Global en Discapacidad sobre la Sociedad de la Información, la
cual respalda los reclamos de las personas con discapacidad sobre
participación equitativa dentro de la Sociedad de la Infomación. Este
Foro se realiza durante la primera parte de la Cumbre Mundial sobre la
Sociedad de la Información (CMSI), la cual finaliza hoy en Ginebra,
Suiza. La Segunda parte de CMSI (http://www.itu.int/wsis/) se realizará
en la ciudad de Tunis, Túnez del 16 al 18 de Noviembre de 2005.
