FULL GRADUATE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE
The Department of Russian, School of Modern Languages, University of Exeter, invites applications
for a Graduate School Scholarship in Russian, tenable from January 2004.
The scholarship is worth £12,000 per annum, which covers home/EU tuition fees and a maintenance
bursary. Depending on candidates' background and experience, the scholarship may include teaching
duties of up to 50 hours per session. The award is renewable for up to three years, subject to
satisfactory progress.
To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
a.. hold a BA degree (class 2.1 or above), and preferably also an MA in Russian Studies, or their
equivalents;
b.. undertake research in one of the following fields: poetry, twentieth-century literature;
visual art.
c.. have native or near-native knowledge of English and Russian;
d.. register as a full-time postgraduate student
