Dear Mark and All,
I'm very sorry to hear of this sudden death of Dr Baylies. My thoughts go
out to her family and friends. As ex disability/development student of
Carolyn, I can testify of her dedication to disability and development
debate and her useful supervison for postgraduate students. The academic
community has in deed lost a dedicated member.

Dear All
As some of you may now be aware, we were sorry to learn of the death of
our colleague Carolyn Baylies on 1 November, following a period of
illness. She was involved with the Centre for the beginning and had
supervised many disability studies students. The university placed an
obituary on its website last night and another will appear in the
Guardian newspaper:

Best wishes
Mark
