Carrying on the theme of Research Frameworks. We are currently in the early
stages of getting the North-East Regional Research Framework for the
Historic Environment underway - this is being run jointly by the University
of Durham and the Archaeology Section, Durham County Council. Over the next
year or so I will be creating a resource assessment and research agenda for
all period of archaeology in the region, including the post-medieval and
modern periods. This will be carried out in direct consultation with
committes of period specialists, but I am keen to take suggestions from as
many other interested parties from both within and outside the region. If
anybody would like me to circulate the post-medieval and historic
documentation we create as part of the consultation process please let me
know. This is your opportunity to influence the agenda for historical
archaeology in the north-east of England.
cheers
David
