Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone with RBCA knowledge can help.
I know that the model can be run in 2 ways, 'Risk value calculation
mode' and 'clean-up standards mode'. In the calculation of risk
value a cumulative risk level is produced and since the use of
cumulative risk levels is not compliant with UK policy then I am
assuming that when the model is used in the UK it should be to
produce a clean-up standard (where the model has been
appropriately adjusted for UK policy).
We have a RA that models exposure (non carcinogen) and
produces a hazard quotient (or rather, says that there is 'no
significant factor'). My question is, does this mean that the model
has been run as to calculate risk value?
We have only seen RBCA used for human health and soil/dermal
contact/ inhalation run as clean-up standard. The model we are
assessing is for human health with groundwater hydrocarbon
contamination and associated pathways.
All help gratefully appreciated
Thanks
Clare
