UE Manager - Terminal UI Specification
Working in the user experience department, the role holder will work with
the UI specification group, responsible for the development and
maintenance of terminal and devices guidelines and specifications. The
successful candidate will have:
* University degree or equivalent in Human Factors/ Human-Computer
Interaction/ Interaction Design/ Ergonomics/ Information Architecture or a
related subject. Post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline
preferred
* At least 4 years experience in a commercial product and/or service
development environment, including 2+ years experience in mobile telecoms
(in particular terminal manufacturers) and related businesses. This
experience should ideally come from consumer-oriented products, with some
international experience and with significant exposure to human factors &
usability elements of product development.
* Strong and consistent user focus, demonstrated through unfailingly
putting the user and their needs ahead of features and technology.
* Excellent communication skills in verbal, written and formal
presentation formats.
* Strong ability to influence and lead thinking up to senior
management levels.
* Proven ability to drive effective delivery in cross-functional
projects in a fast-moving, high-technology environment working with both
internal and external resources.
* Aware of cultural factors in working across an international
group, allowing the candidate to earn respect and support from member
countries.
* Technology grounding - sufficient high-level understanding to
allow un-daunted and informed assessment of likely technology and terminal
impact on User Experience design

UE Manager - Group Leader, Terminal UI Specification
Working on the design team responsible for device and terminal UI design,
you will be accountable for the teams' day to day operational duties in
specifying company UI guidelines to manufacturers. You will have:
* University degree or equivalent in Human Factors/ Human-Computer
Interaction/ Interaction Design/ Ergonomics/ Information Architecture or a
related subject. Post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline
preferred
* At least 6 years experience in a commercial product and/or service
development environment, including 2+ years experience in mobile telecoms
(in particular terminal manufacturers) and related businesses. This
experience should ideally come from consumer-oriented products, with some
international experience and with significant exposure to human factors &
usability elements of product development.
* Proven skills and track record in leadership, people management
and project management (at least 2 years).
* Strong and consistent user focus, demonstrated through unfailingly

UE Manager - Industrial Designer
Working on the design team to be responsible for the product design
evaluation, design and development of new and existing mobile devices, you
will have the following:
* at least 4 years product design experience in a commercial product
and/or service development environment, including 1+ yr experience working
in a mobile (must have) telecoms business. This experience should ideally
come from consumer-oriented products, with some international experience
and with significant exposure to innovation management.
* You will have the ability to demonstrate extensive experience in
designing devices for manufacture.
* Using the correct communication techniques to efficiently pinpoint
product design requirements.
* Experience of developing designs on modern materials e.g. dye
casting, pressure casts
* Ability to set up a new organisation e.g. structure work
established processes, establish and follow project plans, set milestones
etc
* Be decisive confident and team oriented by nature, able to
demonstrate sound judgement with strong business awareness
* Proven track record in management of product design
* Proven creative capability providing practical application of user
centred design processes
* A good understanding of 2D and 3D solid modelling software e.g
IDEAS, Alias, Pro E, capabilities in browsers in mobile and internet
environment
* Excellent communication skills in verbal, sketching, written and
formal presentation formats.

UE Manager - Group Leader, Terminal UI Implementation
The role holder will lead the Terminal UI Implementation group,
responsible for customising and delivering the UI of devices and
terminals. You role will largely be based upon the delivery of terminal UI
customisation and implementation and also on team and project management.
You will manage the day to day functionality of the terminal UI group and
will also have the following attributes and experience:
* At least 6 years experience in a commercial product and/or service
development environment, including 2+ years experience in mobile telecoms
(in particular terminal manufacturers) and related businesses. This
experience should ideally come from consumer-oriented products, with some
international experience and with some exposure to human factors &
usability elements of product development.
* Proven skills and track record in leadership, people management
(at least 2 years experience.)
* Proven skills and track record in project management for at least
4 years.
* Strong focus on delivery and strong negotiation skills
* Strong and consistent user focus, demonstrated through unfailingly

Focussing on the delivery and management of terminal UI customisation and
implementation, the role holder will be an experienced project manager
with the ability to design the user experience for the firms devices and
terminals. You will challenge the functional design or terminals in order
to improve usability, manage the quality of the terminal UI
implementations. You will also possess the following attributes and
experiences:
* At least 4 years experience in a commercial product and/or service
development environment, including 1+ years experience in mobile telecoms
(in particular terminal manufacturers) and related businesses. This
experience should ideally come from consumer-oriented products, with some
international experience and with some exposure to human factors &
usability elements of product development.
* Proven skills and track record in project management for at least
3 years.
* Strong focus on delivery and strong negotiation skills
