Apologies for cross-posting
Dear colleagues,
A meeting to launch the new (UK) Politics of
Health Group will take place on Saturday December
6th, at the Foresight Centre in the University of
Liverpool. The provisional programme is given
below. A core group has been developing the
Politics of Health Group (PoHG) for the last 18
months; we already have a 200-member e-mail
discussion group, and have published a PoHG
discussion paper, 'Towards a New Politics of
Health'. The discussion paper can be downloaded at
http://www.liv.ac.uk/PublicHealth/Publications/publications01.html
If you are interested in joining the PoHG e-mail
group, please contact Debbie Fox at

In order to cover the costs of the venue, drinks
and lunch, the charge for the launch meeting will
be £30. If you will be coming to the meeting,
would you please send a cheque for £30, made
payable to Politics of Health Group, to me at the
address below?
If you have any ideas regarding sponsorship of
the meeting, do please let me know. This would
enable us to offer free / subsidised places and,
if sufficient, to reduce the charge for the
meeting.
With best wishes, Alex
(on behalf of the PoHG core group and launch
meeting planning group)
