*****Apologies for cross-posting*****
Hello all
I am extremely interested in a career in Records Management and wondered if
there are any opportunities, paid or unpaid that anyone could suggest,
preferably within London or the South East.
I have been working within the Heinz Archive and Library at the National
Portrait Gallery for nine months. Here I have some experience of Records
Management by working with the Gallery's Records Manageras well as tasks
set by the Head of Archive and Libary that involve Records Managment.
Having enjoyed doing this work, I have spoken to the Head of Archives &
Library and the Gallery's Records Manager about pursuing a career in the
field and they suggested contacting you.
I hope to start a MA in Archive and Records Management at UCL next year and
I know I need to gain further experience. If you know of any opportunities,
I would be very interested.
I am computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office software and HTML
and together my partner and I run a web-development business, focussing
mainly on web-enabled databases. I am neat and methodical in my work, and I
consider myself to have good organisational skills. I am flexible in my
approach to work and willing to learn and am able to use my own initiative
effectively. I believe these attributes would make me a good Records
Manager.
I am enthusiastic and committed to a career in the field and any advice you
could give, I would appreciate. My CV, where more information is available,
can be found at www.stacy.me.uk and follow the CV link at the bottom.
Thanking you
Stacy Braine
