We aren't so short of springs, wells and sources of running water generally
here in Wales - where it usually rains every 15 minutes for a quarter of an
hour. But we still venerate wells a lot (possibly propitiatory in our case
- lots of votive deposits from what we really shouldn't call the Celtic
period.)
