The latest issue of Information Research is now availabe at
http://InformationR.net/ir/
This issue is composed mainly of papers illustrating the range of research
being carried out at the Department of Information and Communications,
Manchester Metropolitan University, UK This is the result of my offer to
create special issues devoted to the work of a specific institution - so far
we have now had the University of Tampere and Manchester Metropolitan. Lined
up are the University of Northumbria and Victoria University Wellington.
All papers go through the normal refereeing process and, as usual, some do not
survive :-)
Which leads me to comment on our rejection rate - of the last 52 papers on
which a decision has been reached 1 (2%) has been accepted without revision,
20 (38%) have been rejected with no encouragement to revised, and 31 (59%)
have been conditionally accepted. Some of those conditionally accepted have
not been re-submitted.
In addition, there is another paper representing the journal's 'Luso-Hispanic'
strategy - on this occasion the paper is on 'verbal protocols' and is from
Brazil, but in English.
